Each nutrient in MyTan Boost is involved in thousands of biochemical processes, including “melanogenesis”, the process of developing a melanin, the brown pigment found in the skin, in response to sunlight. L-Tyrosine and Copper in Tanning
Copper and tyrosine play important roles in the production of melanin, the natural brown pigment found in the skin. A copper-dependent enzyme, known as “tyrosinase”, triggers the production of melanin from the amino acid tyrosine. Tyrosinase is the rate-limiting enzyme for controlling the production of melanin, so the overall rate of the reaction is determined by the presence of tyrosinase. MyTan Boost supplies a daily dose of both copper and tyrosine, in addition to many other nutrients.

Begin taking MyTan Boost 2 days before sun exposure. If this is not possible, start as soon as possible. As the body’s natural tanning process continues for 2-3 days after sun exposure, we recommend continuing to take them throughout this period.

No, MyTan tanning capsules contain pigments and must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage. Currently, this can only be achieved to a satisfactory standard with gelatine capsules and are therefore not suitable for vegetarians. However, we are committed to developing a vegan alternative and will introduce a vegan product as soon as it is feasible.
