I have fair skin / don't tan easily. Will MyTan products work for me?
In our experience, many of our customers are fair-skinned people and find both products useful.
MyTan Boost: Fair-skinned people may lack melanin, the brown skin pigment. Boost is formulated to provide the nutrients involved in the production of melanin so may be of great benefit. However, we would urge you to use sunblock as you normally would.
MyTan Bronze: This product is designed to bring up a light golden colour all year round regardless of skintone.

How quickly do MyTan products take effect?
It may take up to 2 weeks for a colour to appear with MyTan Bronze. Customers have reported tan boosting effects of MyTan Boost after taking it for only two days.

How long do the effects of MyTan products last? What happens when I stop taking MyTan products?
MyTan Boost: As this products is designed to boost your natural tanning ability, you only need take this product while in the sun or while using a solarium. As such, the tan boosting effects will last as long as you take the product, helping you to achieve your best tan.
MyTan Bronze: MyTan Boost requires a loading dose for the first two weeks to build your colour. After this a much lower maintenance dose is required. If this maintenance dose is stopped the colour will gradually fade over time, depending on skin tone. -

Do I need sun exposure for MyTan BRONZE to work?
No, mytan BRONZE is designed work all-year-round, even in wintertime without the sun. However, the sun does enhance its effect so they're perfect to take on holidays or in conjunction with a course of sunbeds.

Is MyTan BRONZE just beta-carotene?
No, MyTan BRONZE contains 5 carotenoids (beta-carotene is just one carotenoid) along with the important skin nutrient vitamin E for a much more genuine colour and extra antioxidant protection.

Will MyTan BRONZE make me go orange?!
Some people who take beta-carotene are concerned that their skin turns an orange colour. However, mytan BRONZE contains 4 different carotenoids in addition to beta-carotene to help give a more golden bronze colour.

I'm a heavy smoker. Can I take MyTan BRONZE?
Some research suggests that synthetic beta-carotene should not be taken by heavy smokers. MyTan BRONZE contains natural mixed carotenoids but we still recommend that current heavy smokers consult their doctor before taking them.
